Inside Jjengo’s incredible entrepreneurial story

Jjengo Accram’s incredible journey from modest beginnings to a thriving entrepreneur is a testament to his unwavering determination and the support of his loving parents. Hajji Muhammad Kaluuma, Jjengo’s father, and the late Najjemba Tijarah, his mother, played pivotal roles in shaping his life.

Growing up in the humble surroundings of Nsangala, Mawogola, Ssembabule district, Jjengo was the third-to-last child in a family of eight. His parents instilled in him values that would later serve as the foundation for his success. Hajji Muhammad Kaluuma emphasized the importance of hard work and dedication, principles that would become the cornerstones of Jjengo’s journey.

Najjemba Tijarah, his mother, was a source of unwavering support and encouragement. She believed in Jjengo’s potential and worked tirelessly to provide him with the opportunities he needed to excel in life. It is her name that serves as the inspiration behind the name of Jjengo’s successful company, Tijarah Group, a symbol of his commitment to honoring his family’s legacy.

Jjengo’s educational path was marked by dedication and hard work. He attended a series of primary schools, including Kyangabatayi Muslim Primary School, Nsangala Church of Uganda, Kyebongotoko Primary School, Lwemusege Primary School, Victoria Primary School, Sydney Paul Primary School, and he completed his primary education at Miteete St. Andrew’s in 2009. These formative years instilled in him a strong work ethic and a thirst for knowledge.

His commitment to education continued as he pursued O-level studies at Sseke Secondary School, achieving a remarkable first-grade result in 2013. Subsequently, he embarked on his A-level education at Kinawa High School Mugongo and took the PEM/ICT exams at Hanah International School Uganda.

Jjengo’s academic journey eventually led him to Makerere University, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics in 2019. However, it was during his Master’s degree in Agricultural and Applied Economics at the University of Pretoria in South Africa that he broadened his horizons and prepared himself for his future entrepreneurial endeavors.

Tijarah Group, founded by Jjengo, is now a thriving enterprise in the real estate and construction industry, with its headquarters firmly established in Nsangi Manja.

His achievements have propelled him to a current net worth of 300 million Ugandan Shillings, a testament to his unwavering belief in the power of determination and consistency in Uganda’s entrepreneurial landscape.

As the proprietor of Tijarah Group, Jjengo Accram is actively engaged in diverse business solutions, showcasing that remarkable success is attainable with dedication and a clear vision.
