Judiciary Clarifies on Chief Justice’s Health

Judiciary has distanced its self from rumors which have been spreading on various social media platforms indicating that the Chief Justice Aliphonse Owiny Dollo is critically sick.

In response to the above allegations, the judiciary via its communications team clarified that the head of the institution is not critically sick as alleged but he is outside the country where he is receiving some medical attention.

“We therefore wish to dispel the unfounded and exaggerated reports about his health, and further reassure the general public that the Chief Justice will soon return and continue serving the people of Uganda.” reads part of the press statement

Jameson Karemani , the Judiciary Spokes person further implored Members of the public to stay calm and ignore the misleading publications about the Hon. The Chief Justice.

In the past few weeks on several occasions like ceremonies held in remembering the life of Supreme Court Justice Sarah Arach Amoko, the Chief Justice has been represented by his deputy Justice Richard Buteera.
