NAKAWA– Kassim Kibirige is among the nominated candidates by National Unity Platform to contest for the Nakawa East MP position in the forthcoming 2026 elections, has revealed his plans and commitment once trusted with National Unity Platform (NUP) Party Flag.

In an interview with this news website, Kibirige expressed gratitude for the support he has received from Nakawa East residents, especially the youth and grassroots mobilizers who encouraged him to step forward.
“My candidature is not just a personal ambition. It’s a reflection of the voices in Nakawa East who feel left out, unheard, and underserved. I come with energy, vision, and a deep commitment to the values of NUP and the needs of our people,” Remarked Kibirige
He also emphasized that , as soon as he is elected in the forthcoming 2026 General elections as Nakawa Parliamentary representative, he will work tirelessly to eliminate
youth unemployment and put much emphasis in vocational empowerment. Other key areas of his focus include: Access to quality healthcare ,Education and skilling programs, Strengthening community leadership and transparency.
Kibirige is is vying for the NUP Care for the same seat with Waiswa Mufumbiro, the Deputy Spokes person for the National Unity Platform.
The contest between Mufumbiro and Kibirige has started drawing attention both in Nakawa and Kampala at large.
