KUMI, Uganda – A policeman from Kumi has won a staggering 300 million shillings from a sports betting platform, Uganda Bettors Association, after subscribing to their fixed games service.

The officer, whose identity has been withheld for security reasons, revealed that he had been trying his luck at sports betting for a while without success, losing close to 20 million shillings to scammers who promised to give him fixed games.

However, he refused to give up. “As an ambitious person, I didn’t give up, I came across another platform called Uganda Bettors Association, paid them whatever they wanted and this time things worked out,” he narrated.

After paying the subscription fees, the officer said he was given access to Uganda Bettors Association’s fixed games, which he used to place his bet. “I asked them to stake for me and share with me receipts, they asked me how much I needed to stake and since I wanted to win a lot of money, I forwarded them my stake and later my bank details,” he explained.

The officer said he keenly followed the games, which were picked from Uganda Bettors Association‘s fixed games platform, and when they won, he immediately contacted the association to confirm. “Indeed the ticket won, and the money was deposited into my bank account,” he said.

The officer said he does not regret the 20 million shillings he lost to scammers. “I was risking to win a lot of money and finally God has answered my prayers,” he said.

When asked if he would leave the police force now that he has won a large sum of money, the officer said he loves his job more than money. “I can’t leave the force, even if am told to serve for free, I will do it willingly, I chose this path and am loving it,” he said.
