The Kingdom of Busoga has assured Ugandans and other key stakeholders that the Royal wedding will go on as earlier planned despite of several threats and rumors that he is in another marriage UK based lady Alison Anne Gabula

According to the letter from Engineer Joseph Muvawala , the Katukiro of Busoga, the Kingdom asked the general public to disregard the rumors because His Majesty William Gabula Nadiope IV has never been married to anyone under the known forms of marriage in Uganda and elsewhere, has never sired any children, is not a British citizen as being purported

“Our attention has been drawn to a letter from Mugerwa and Partners Advocates dated 8 November 2023 and addressed to the Arch Bishop Church of Uganda, Dr. Steven Kazimba Mugalu, which letter contains both defamatory and false information for which the record needs to be set clear.” reads part of the statement

That the Kingdom has since contacted the Arch Bishop Church of Uganda who has confirmed receipt of the same and notes that although the said letter makes reference to a marriage certificate as attached Annexure A, none was supplied to the Archbishop.

“There is no record for any marriage of His Majesty in the United Kingdom or anywhere else in the world and the content of the said letter is subject to police investigations.”

In the letter which was addressed to the Archbishop of Church of Uganda, by Mugerwa and Partners , lawyers representing Alison Anna Nadiope who alleges to be legally married to the Kyabazinga, they requested church not to allow the planned wedding by Busoga Kingdom.

“Our client is the legally married wife to William Gabula the Kyabazinga of Busoga kingdom, having celebrated a Civil Marriage in December 2016 at Milldam House Bunbaby Road, Portsrnouthh PO13AF under Marriage Certificate AK594729L.”

That as a result of the above said marriage the two have bore two children namely; Muyisa Mitchell aged 8 years and Josephine Katali aged 6years and she has made several contributions as wife to their marriage.
