KAMPALA– The Judiciary of Uganda has on Thursday morning walked up to the sad news of passing away of their own, Grade one Magistrate Marion Mangeni.
According to the information from various Judiciary communications department, Mangeni passed away on Wednesday night at Mengo Hospital.
“We regret to announce the passing of Her Worship Marion Mangeni, Head of Law Reporting at Uganda Legal Information Institute (Uganda_LII). Her dedication to ensuring access to legal information was unparalleled.”
“As we mourn this great loss, Uganda_LII operations will be temporarily inactive. We appreciate your understanding during this difficult time as we honor her legacy and contributions to the legal community.” Reads part of the death announcement from judiciary
The Judiciary has also promised to come up with detailed burial program as soon as possible.
In the recent reshuffle in the Judiciary, she was transferred to Judicial Training Institute (JTI).
Mangeni has been one of the Magistrates who have served the Standards and Utilities Court for a long period of time.
