KAMPALA — In homes, hardware stores, and offices across Uganda, Plascon’s latest “Ku Ground” edition of the annual Paint and Win promotion has captured the nation’s imagination. Just four weeks into the 10-week campaign, the promotion has already created 24 lucky winners who have walked away with millions in cash prizes and brand-new motorcycles.

The grand prize each week is a brand-new motorcycle with weekly winners entering a draw to win a tuk tuk tricycle. It’s no wonder this campaign has become a must-watch for Ugandans as more participants hope to win big.

Participating in the Paint and Win promotion is straightforward. With every UGX 100,000 worth of Plascon paint purchased, customers receive a coupon containing a unique code, which they can enter into the draw by sending the code via SMS to 7197. This simple action not only enters them into the weekly draw but also rewards them with instant airtime in various denominations—a quick win that has generated buzz across the country.

From Monday to Saturday each week, one winner receives a UGX 1 million cash prize. Then, every Monday, six lucky winners are drawn to share an additional UGX 3 million. However, it’s one lucky winner in the weekly draw who truly takes centre stage, riding off with a brand-new motorcycle, along with UGX 100,000 worth of fuel, in addition to their cash prize. These live draws, which broadcast every Monday at 6:55 p.m. on NBS TV, Sanyuka TV, and Bukedde TV, have become must-watch television, with fans eagerly awaiting the announcement of the newest lucky winners.

In Week 4, Hillary Asingwiire from Mbarara stole the spotlight. Winning UGX 1 million and riding home on a brand-new motorcycle, Hillary’s experience perfectly represents Plascon’s Ku Ground promotion. Joining him in this week’s winners’ circle were five other lucky participants from different regions across the country: Akello Miriam from Lira, Rujogeza David from Fort Portal, Siraji Ssemuwemba from Nakasero, Lwebuga Benjamin from Mityana, and Namataka Joan from Kampala.

The Ku Ground Paint and Win campaign goes beyond just prizes; it brings excitement and engagement to customers across Uganda through grassroots activations.

Plascon’s activation teams have been visiting affiliated stores nationwide, encouraging participation and giving away prizes while connecting with customers on a personal level.

These activations are not only fun but provide valuable feedback for Plascon to enhance its products and services, ensuring they meet customer needs and expectations.
