PLE 2020 results out today, Friday January 27, 2023

The Board is set to release the results of the 2022 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) this Friday, January 27, 2023.

The auspicious occasion will be presided over by the First Lady and Minister for Education and Sports, Mama Janet K. Museveni, at State House, Nakasero, starting at 11:00 AM.

The function will be aired live on all public radio and TV Stations, as well as UNEB Social Media accounts-@UNEB_UG.

Speaking during a briefing session prior to the release, the 1st Lady and Minister for Education and Sports, Janet K. Museveni hailed the management and staff of UNEB for their committed service to the country regardless of the prevailing circumstances.

She congratulated the staff on the successful conduct of the 2022 Examinations despite the onset of the Ebola pandemic in some parts of the country.

The Executive Director, Mr. Dan Odongo thanked the Minister for her ardent support for the activities of the Board, adding that her backing is a great inspiration to the Board.

A total of 832,809 candidates registered for the examination at that level, making a percentage increase of 11.1% from the registration numbers of the previous examination year.

Of the candidates that registered, 52% were females, while 48% were males.

The candidates sat from 14, 153 examination Centres, out of which 80 % were based at Schools funded by the government under the Universal Primary Education Program (UPE).
