Police in Busoga have dealt a crushing blow to a notorious gang of thugs responsible for a string of brutal robberies and murders that have left the region gripped with fear!
The crackdown, which took place in Bugweri District, saw eight key suspects apprehended and two deadly firearms, 14 rounds of ammunition, and a silver motor vehicle seized!
The arrested suspects, identified as Namubona Aziz, 31; Wambi Fred, 40; Mugaya Grace, 49; Ayazika Godfrey, 52; Basalirwa Stephen, 39; Wamubiligwe Henry, 30; Takuwa Zainabu, 42; and Kwagala Suzan, 43, are believed to have been the masterminds behind the wave of terror that has plagued Busoga for months!
“We have made a breakthrough in apprehending prime suspects in a series of robberies in the region,” police announced in a statement, confirming the arrests. “The suspects have been terrorizing the region for a long time.”
The suspects, along with the recovered firearms and other exhibits, have been transferred to Busoga North Region headquarters for further investigations, marking the beginning of the end for the notorious gang.
Justice is finally being served in Busoga!
