Kampala, Uganda – MOGO Uganda has rewarded 173 customers with millions of shillings and various prizes in the grand finale of its “MOGO Bonanza” promotion.

The two-month campaign, which ran from November to December, aimed to reward and empower customers who made timely payments. The grand finale took place on 3 January 2025.

“We launched the MOGO Bonanza campaign to show our appreciation for our customers during the festive season,” said Mikhail Vydryn, Chief Executive Officer of MOGO Uganda. “It’s been an incredible eight weeks, and we’re thrilled to have rewarded our loyal customers.”

Four customers won significant cash prizes, including Mwoga Aliyi, a motorcycle rider from Iganga district, who took home 5 million Ugandan shillings (approximately $1,300 USD). Three other customers won 1 million Ugandan shillings each.

Other prizes included Hisense Smart TV screens, subwoofers, Samsung smartphones, shopping vouchers, and cash prizes of 100,000 Ugandan shillings.

The promotion was open to all existing MOGO customers, aiming to encourage a healthy payment culture and provide extra empowerment and value.

MOGO Uganda is a subsidiary of the global fintech enterprise Eleving Group, which operates in 16 markets across three continents. The company is regulated by the Uganda Microfinance Regulatory Authority (UMRA).
