Kampala, Uganda – A recent analysis of website traffic has revealed the most visited news websites in Uganda, with Daily Monitor emerging as the clear leader.

According to data from SimilarWeb, a website traffic analysis tool, Daily Monitor received an impressive 14.4 million visits in the past month, solidifying its position as the most popular news website in Uganda.

Nile Post followed closely, with 4.89 million visits, while PML Daily came in third with 3.59 million visits. New Vision, Uganda’s oldest newspaper, received 3.16 million visits, followed by Chimp Reports with 944,777 visits.

URN, a news agency, received 875,470 visits, while Independent and UG Standard received 834,710 and 830,310 visits, respectively. Daily Express completed the top 10 list with 803,450 visits.

Other notable news websites included Kikuubo Lane with 773,780 visits, The Observer with 753,540 visits, Watchdog News Uganda with 724,940 visits, and KampalaReport with 718,970 visits.

These statistics demonstrate the shifting media landscape in Uganda, with online news sources increasingly becoming the go-to destination for news and information.
