Appearing at the Lukiiko grounds in Bugembe, Jinja City on Friday, NBL Head of Legal and Corporate Affairs Emmanuel Njuki highlighted the connection between the company’s flagship brand, Nile Special, and the Busoga Kingdom, as the brand’s tagline is inspired by the River Nile.

He emphasized the importance of cultural diversity in Uganda and expressed NBL’s commitment to promoting cultural heritage.

The wedding of the Kyabazinga and Inhebantu Mutesi is expected to attract attention to Busoga’s cultural heritage and historical treasures as well as promote tourism, he said.

The Katukiro Dr. Joseph Muvawala thanked NBL for their ongoing partnership with the kingdom and their support for the royal wedding.

At the unveiling of the 23-man organising committee for the royal wedding last month, Busoga’s premier, Dr. Joseph Muvawala said the function will be streamed live on major media platforms across the country, with screening at centers where wedding cake shall be served at all the district headquarters in the Busoga sub region, so as to enable everyone to experience the feel of the wedding wherever they are.

“This is an all inclusive wedding, where grassroots people have been prioritized to have a feel of it’s happenings, since the space for both the church wedding and royal reception are limited, but with streaming centers at the different district headquarters, homes and play grounds will enable everyone to have live time access to the event, even when faraway,” he said.
