Vivo Energy trains staff on fuel quality standards

KAMPALA, Uganda — Vivo Energy Uganda, distributor of Shell-branded fuels and lubricants, celebrated World Quality Week (Nov 11-15) by training staff on stringent fuel quality standards, reinforcing its commitment to excellence.

This year’s theme, “Compliance to Performance,” aligns with Vivo Energy’s ongoing commitment to excellence, emphasizing the importance of adhering to quality standards to achieve and sustain top-notch performance across all operations.

Vivo Energy Uganda showcased its fuel quality assurance processes through a live demonstration of fuel offloading operations at Shell Muyenga. Lawrence Wavamunno, Vivo Energy Uganda Laboratory Technician, demonstrated the rigorous processes and various quality assurance tests fuel undergoes at the offloading point to ensure it meets the highest quality standards for customers.

During the demonstration, Wavamunno highlighted the meticulous steps taken to ensure safety and performance standards, including:

Quality checks on fuel trucks before offloading
Verification of fuel quantity and quality
Testing for contaminants and impurities
Certification of fuel meeting Shell standards

Valery Okecho, Corporate Communications Manager, emphasized staff engagement and internal training in quality processes. “By empowering our employees with a clear understanding of quality standards and equipping our staff with the skills to communicate the quality message effectively, both internally and with our customers, we are ultimately enhancing our service delivery and brand reputation.”

Vivo Energy Uganda distributes Shell-branded fuels and lubricants. The company’s quality assurance processes are designed to ensure that products meet the highest safety and performance standards.
