Makerere, MUBS admit 1,500 New Students on Government Scholarship

KAMPALA, UGANDA – Makerere University, one of Africa’s most prestigious institutions of higher learning, has released the list of students who will be joining the university on a government scholarship.

A total of 1,500 students have been admitted to pursue their academic dreams at Makerere University and Makerere University Business School (Mubs) under the government’s sponsorship program.

These students, who excelled in their Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) exams last year, will be joining the university in August for the academic year 2024/2025.

The admitted students come from various schools, including Seeta High School, St Mary’s SS Kitende, Mt St. Mary’s Namagunga, Midland High School and St. Bernard’s SS Mannya among others.

These academic giants have demonstrated exceptional academic prowess and potential, and Makerere University is eager to nurture their talents.

This year’s intake marks a significant milestone in the government’s efforts to promote access to higher education and support Uganda’s youth in achieving their full potential.
