KAMPALA, UGANDA – The Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) has appointed Robert Kalumba as its new Public and Corporate Affairs Manager, a move aimed at enhancing the authority’s communications and public relations efforts. But who is Robert Kalumba, the man tasked with promoting URA’s mission and values?

Kalumba is a seasoned communications expert with a wealth of experience in journalism, public relations, and corporate communications. Prior to joining URA, he worked as a publicist for the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), where he defended the authority’s policies and initiatives with passion and dedication.

Kalumba’s career in communications began as a society journalist and columnist at Daily Monitor, where he honed his skills in storytelling and public engagement. He later moonlighted with SMS Media, a bulk short-messaging firm, showcasing his versatility and adaptability in the fast-paced world of communications.

A father of two boys, Isaiah and Sean, Kalumba is a family man who met his wife Irene while studying in London, UK. His international experience and cultural exposure have shaped his worldview and approach to communications, making him an asset to URA’s communications team.

Kalumba is also a passionate individual, with interests ranging from English club Liverpool to President Museveni and his son Muhoozi Kainerugaba. His unique blend of professional expertise and personal passions makes him an excellent fit for URA’s mission to promote voluntary tax compliance and enhance public trust.
